Proxies

Hi all,

(I know this is a stupid Q but someone needs to ask it )
If I setup my PC to use a proxie, do i need to set it up on the firewall aswell. I'm talking about downloading from work []. If I can just set it up on my pc then its sooooo cooool, but I need some insight and explination on why (if not) and why (if so).

Unfortunitly I don't have acces to firewall [!]

well it depends on the following ...

are you from your pc able to access the work proxy directly ... if not you need to fiddle the firewall authentication will probably be required ... using auto proxy scripts/DHCP may not work as the address assigned could be the internal IP and unless you on a VPN this wint work ...
