one of the guys in my gaming commented that maybe the "lesser" criminals like the rapists, murders, gangsters and so on should be targeted at a later stage.

+1 on that comment, and a fail yet again for RSA police. Just shows it is all about money...... or would I say coroprations loosing money........

Agreed that they should focus on murder etc, but if u cant ignore "lesser" crimes. As said in the article this was not a guy at home jailbreaking his PS3, it was pro`s doing it for money. Which I agree they should be arrested. They give us good pirates a bad name.

lol, once again the media misrepresents. They were raiding a guy who sells pirated stuff not a lone guy with his 1 PS3. And within any police force they have separate units doing different stuff.

Well the article itself is deliberately misleading. But if the journalist didn't intentionally write misleading rubbish, then they should specify who told them the drivel they blindly repeated.

Not been keeping up to date with this. Are versions beyond 3.55 finally jailbreakable or still not? :whistling:

No, I don't think so. Looked at this again about 2 months back, so don't know if something happened in that time.

Bit unfair seeing as how the SAPS has different investigative divisions etc like cyber crime. I dont think a fraud detective is gonna be breaking down doors. Different people allocated to different departments.

A progskeet device will enable you to downgrade to 3.55 and then you can jailbreak away.
