Why would anyone want to buy a Xbox? Don't they get beaten every generation for a reason?
I don't see the issue. Soon game streaming will be a thing then it won't matter what platform you are on as long as you have a platform to play on? Seems like a waste of time to argue about which console is better?

CPU's and GPU's generate heat? No? Physics don't apply to the PS5 or the Xbox anymore?

Of course they do. The question is how well they deal with the heat. Sorry, the question is how much heat is generated first, and then how it is dealt with.

How so? This is only a comment from someone who believes in the Xbox and GP. Which reminds me of something.

We will find out next month only, so right about now all of it is just thumb sucking. Even if one runs hotter than the other it doesn't matter, those components are probably designed to run hot.

There is more to it than Xbox and Game Pass. Amazon and Microsoft (and Nvidia) is pushing lots of resources into the idea of streaming games from the cloud. If that picks up, why would the device a person play on matter? Everyone will want to be the first ones to get it right at a big scale

It works like Netflix. I actually took some time to explain it to you earlier in the thread.

Netflix have a lot of movies and series that are their own. These stay on the service indefinitely. Then they also get other movies and series that are there for a certain amount of months and then they replace them with different movies and series.

Game Pass keeps all first party games on there indefinitely. All first party games also come to the service at launch. Third party titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 will come onto the service for a certain amount of months and they replace it with something else. While a game is on Game Pass you also get a discount on the game should you want to buy it to keep it permanently.

Then there's also Games with Gold which is included with Game Pass Ultimate. You get 2 free XBox One games and 2 360 games per month. It works the same as PSN Plus.

So, unless you buy it while it is on GP, you will not get a discount. And seeing as you have been paying $15 a month to have access to these games, how much of a discount is it?

Probably. Although this was a bit of tongue in cheek as regards to some other comment.

Well, because you obviously know Sony is not going this route.

Secondly, it makes you a slave to the cloud, and the internet, and your ISP provider.

Erm no, but then there is such a thing as different people like different things. Its the reason not everyone drives a Ford or that everyone don't use an iPhone.

Which brings me to point number 2
If there was no competition there also would be no innovation so doesn't matter what horse you back, as long as you play the game. Personally I prefer to bet on the underdog as they normally try harder to keep you. Constant winner normally end up becoming complacent and improve the bare minimum.

Interesting look at the console "wars" over the recent years: (Numbers are in the millions)
