I literally have to buy my weekends or any other game time for that matter lol ... Minister of finance is also watching I don't buy a next gen ( we busy in the process of immigrating ) no no no waste money !!!

I pre ordered CP2077 for xbox1 which is my only Christmas present as well !! HAHHAHAHA

Real life is fantastic hahahaha :)

Same, except...I'm the min of finance, my other hobbies are just as time consuming and i outsource jobs i dont care for. life's too short to do mundane rubbish.

i enjoy gaming with my son and our beach is usually packed on w/ends with mask-less covidiots, in fact most places we'd like to go has the muppets in full force. so gaming it is.

were are you heading? we're buggering off Q4 21. we can fortunately go back to our other home country easily, no paperwork needed.

Hahahahaha
The NOOBS that worry about "looks"

At work we have one of em Rolands VersaUV's + loads of colored Vinyl, I can have a different themed console every weekend :D
And if I want a different design or shaped box I can just Lasercut/Route my own as well...

Naa I'm happy with the square box that wont waste space.

You do protest too much....

Strange, most people think the ability to swap out the panels is an awesome thing. I think that green tinge the xsx has suits you :)

NZL it is, or maybe the UK ( We qualify on points / or some invitation ) - just depends when it all opens up again for people to migrate. That's why I'm holding back on purchasing a next gen until we over there and settled in.

I had my finger on that purchase button many many times but then didn't feel like going through a make shift divorce and moan from the Minister hahahahaah :)

All of it is still based on expectations. You made it out that the XBSX being significantly more powerful is a sure thing. It is not.
I predict that this generation, the PS5 exclusives will again look better than anything available on XBox.

I doubt it. But we will have to wait and see.

I look forward to seeing the performance difference in games that are on both systems. Like AC Valhalla and Cyberpunk.

At the price of controllers it much cheaper to quickly swop batteries in order to play than buy another controller to use while your 1st controller is wasting time on the charger...
But to each their own. I do get it that some peepz prefer the charging controller as opposed to just get rechargeable batteries.

True true, it does make sense, quick swop and you're gaming again. Guess you could buy some decent rechargeable AA's for that specific purpose. I tend to misplace loose batteries and bought a few extra controllers over time. It's easy enough to pop one open and slot another battery pack in though. See, it's a preference thing, not better nor worse, just personal preference.

This. I have bought a couple of rechargeable battery thingies. Always end up losing them and the battery life doesn't seem that great and blah, blah, blah...and I just prefer recharging my controllers.

I still think MS developers will be hamstrung by the one game fits all platforms thing. The question is whether all-system developers will have their PS5 games impacted by this as well in terms of trying to develop for both systems. I'm no techie so don't know.

Whereas with the PS5 the developers have one console to fine-tune for, which is why I think @Barbarian Conan can confidently predict that the best the PS5 has to show, will be better than the best the Xbox has.

So you don't play Hitman? Tomb Raider? Need for Speed? NFL? Etc Etc Etc Etc Etc.
Let's face it. There are hardly new games anymore.

I cannot wait..

New IP's are rare, noticed alot of remastered and rinse and repeat ... I played them yeah :) Tomb Raider was nice, the last one was a bit buggy

Edit: I'm sure I saw them on GP ?

It's possible. We will have to wait and see. PC games are created so that you can choose your settings all the way from low to high depending on your system. It should surely just be a similar case for the consoles.

These same developers also do games for PC where the minimum spec machine is usually well below the current gen console. The games will scale. Duh.

It's like pointing to pcs and say that their games look crapper than PS games because they need to scale. Newflash: They don't! They look better than PS games. Scalability does not hold the top spec back.

So Xbox architecture is a figment of ones imagination ?!

Same here. NZ or Aus, depending on where we can get in the soonest.

If I postponed my purchases "because we will emigrate soon", I wouldn't have bought my new Ryzen CPU last year, or new speakers now. Or the desk I really needed to work comfortably from home. I've had it with postponing purchases because we "will emigrate soon".
