Listen genius, this is not Dungeons and Dragons where you can make up your own story line.
I was not even active the last few days and your fellow fanboys started with all this polls and sales again, I just told them to stop with all their theories as there will only be one winner.
Uhm and sales do tell a story as to what people consider the best value for their money regarding performance, innovation and enjoyment. So If you as a consumer maybe took the time and looked at sales you would probably have bought the right next gen console. If not, you would be here on MB trying to spin theories to make your choice sound better.
Let me just correct you as it seems you cant read. I will never own a next gen console, my kids will. I don't need a next gen console(Graphics card etc) on launch as an extension of my personality. My kids will get it when launch problems have been sorted. when stock are readily available and prices have settled.

To a fanboy everybody who doesn't like what they like are automatically a fanboy of the opposition to the product they are a fanboying for.

MS/Xbox doesn't JUST push console sales like Sony.

I'm all for comparing the machines and what they can offer me for my cash. But sales means nothing because it doesn't effect us as end users. It's not a feature of the console.

If I'm correct you don't even own a next gen system. So why do you care who "wins"?

While I will give you credit that you have been espousing this opinion for a while, it does not apply to your "brothers in arms". That little crowd were always loud and proud as to the XSX being the "most powerful "console earlier. And laughing at suggestions of the new haptic-sensor controller etc.

It's only since release of the actual consoles, that they have now suddenly turned to a "no console is better; you choose what you want" refrain. I can guarantee you, if results had turned out the opposite way, they would be crowing about it all the time.

Why am I saying this, after saying let gamers be gamers? Well, refer next post.

You and JVC somehow are under impression that people are posting here to ignite a flame war. But the sad truth is only you, JVC and another forum member who is a Xbox fanboy whose posts I don't really bother reading his posts.

Several People on this thread both pro PS5 and Xbox keep trying to get thorough to you guys this thread isn't a flame war thread most posts other than posts from you 3 are not posted with the aim to ignite a flame war.

Argg bollox, you were the one that started this whole MB poll that more people want the Xbox yesterday. So what was your intention with that other than igniting flame wars again? Maybe take your blinkers off and read some of the Xbox fanboys posts. Its not just one, its most of them

But then. What purpose does this thread serve? The consoles are out, everyone decided and even the ones that have not decided will not get any info here as this thread has been a fanboy rant from day one( yes months before I participated). Any real info can be shared on the PS5 or Xbox threads, so the only purpose for this thread is banter. Because you fanboys are now salty after your faster hardware proved to be a fast potato, don't complain about the banter. That was what this thread was for from day one.

Looking at MyBBs current pole

More than half of MyBB readers that are planning to upgrade to next gen plan to get a Xbox.

Have to say I'm surprised. I expected more people would want a Xbox in total but expected PS5 to be far more popular than the SX and the SS to be way more popular than it is now.

Where is this poll, btw? I haven't seen it, nor voted on it yet.

Consoles are out and most people haven't made their decision yet, it's only the early adopters who have their consoles/ trying to get their hands on a console in the case of the PS5.

Most people have a preferred console but are still gathering information on bugs, flaws and features of next gen systems and some are even debating whether or not to even go for a console.

This thread is for comparing both platforms.

Polymathic is a very analytical guy who obviously enjoys integrating new data and updating his view of things, but trust Splinter to misinterpret that as trolling.

The real troll is JVC who doesn’t care either way. To solve the JVC problem you have to follow the age-old advice of not feeding the troll with passionate reactions (or... any reaction), because that’s what a troll is after. It’s juvenile but that’s what trolls (like myself, admittedly) enjoy more than any video game. It’s entertaining. Why I would out JVC is because he doesn’t choose deserving victims (fanboys, for example) and ruins things for regular folk.

Splinter is a fanboy with self esteem issues which is why he incessantly goes on about all of his stuff. Most recently his two braais. He has to have the better thing because it’s tied up to his ego and self worth. Not sure how to deal with that one. Sad actually, because maybe there’s a cool dude hiding behind all of that. Not that I’d have any clue because I’ve never read more than 10% of Splinter’s ramblings.

Well its easy, anyone can go into anyone's profile and see how many posts in how many threads each member do on MB and see how much time they spend here. So yes you will see I have better things to do.

I only recall posting the one MyBB poll recently. I did however mention that it seems that there's more active users in the Xbox thread than the PS5 thread as an observation, I don't see why anybody would take personal offensive to that observation nor was it directed at anybody
