But, but, but the Series X can do HDR so, in theory, if the PC user were to see the light, he wouldn't have to buy a PS5 to experience it...

But, but, but - I wasn't referring to any console - just that a PC without an HDR monitor is limiting.

Oh JVC, what did you do?

See? Now you got all these XBox fans bois in a tizz again defending their beloved brand. Did you not learn anything from Splinter?

Eish, just wanted to see if there is still life in this thread. And they did not disappoint.
But my main reason was that I see full level5 lockdown coming, so just wanted a few to come out the basement and see the sun one final time.

I tell you what - unless your PC monitor can do HDR, you have no idea what you missing out on.
My Monitor does have HDR funnily enough lol, however it's a cheap chinese panel and looks utter crap sticks with it enabled , but point taken regarding image quality. I was coming in from a "I can play my games so I dont need a console at the moment" side of things

What TV do you have?
I know my entry level Samsung TV (NU7100) has terrible HDR, and it's only getting worse with subsequent models. (according to RTings)
Going from a 4ms to a 1ms response time monitor, I can tell you that it makes a big difference as well. That, and of course 120Hz+.

My monitor supports HDR, but I haven't played a game that supports it yet.

Now I just need an RTX capable GPU to claim my position in the PC Master Race, (defeaters of the console peasants, masters of the input devices, users of mods, players of the most and best exclusives and they who experience superior graphic settings in the past, present and future - bow down before them) again.

LG OLED 65" B7.

I have an RTX 2080ti GPU in my gaming PC.

I prefer my console gaming.

Depending on the manufacturer, could sell as low as R21,000
True ... but it's Dell ! overpriced imho

Let's hope these are at affordable prices, might go for one myself if in the right price range

Edit: Dell i7, 512 ssd, MX gpu is already over R20 k ... so just imagine the Alienware price ... shocking !

Yeah but a lot of older imports are priced when the exchange rate was around R18 to the USD, let's hope distributors don't price the new laptops in line with their existing lineup
