Works out more cost effective in the long run than getting a midrange laptop + Console and very little comprise as far as high frame rate gaming.

Game Pass is available on windows laptop and there's been some news stories that PS exclusives may also come to the PC via the epic store.

Poly, I appreciate the side-stepping and misdirection. Shows some ingenuity from your side. However, you came here posting this laptops 30% or more performance over the PS5 (reportedly, by the way, as per the self-same article). Total bollocks, as I have shown.

Game pass wasn't even a consideration in this laptop discussion. So you mentioning it now is just sad.

And now bringing up "news stories" that PS exclusives are coming to PC?

First - still totally irrelevant to what you posted.

Second - I call BS. If there were such news, you would have been the first to post it here.

You should take Poly's posts with a pinch of salt.

But we all know now after months on this thread, that if they have no comeback, its always game pass.

Why the comparison to a PS5 and not the "Most Powerful Console in The World"?

I understand the popularity of the PS5 but still it comes down to power, not that the SX has any significant power advantage.

Because the article was deliberately targeting the PS5's lack of focus on 1440p. Which has been mentioned here before in this thread. The Xbox SS is targeted at 1440p gaming, so obviously this "mega" laptop would have fallen far short if there was a comparison.

Well in terms of ray tracing performance the 3060 probably does outperform the PS5. The RTX 30 series does outperform RDNA 2 in ray tracing by a considerable margin... Although the PS5 maybe running Sony's own Raytracing tech.

Interesting Nvidia chose that comparison, maybe because Nvidia chose it because the PS5 is the most popular console currently or maybe they have a partnership with MS for some project or just that 30% sounds so much better than what ever number they have when compared to the MS.

Completely agree. All else fails . . . Game Pass!
Context is key here. Splinter asked what relevance that gaming laptop have to the thread and the point I was trying to make is that a gaming laptop is an alternative to the Series console as a Game Pass machine. I should have explained it better explained that point better in the previous post.

Yeah, I know. I was actually going to post something asking if he is just a young kid trying to be relevant by stirring. I decided against it.

Guess I failed at not mentioning it.
Again I don't care what you Sony fanboys think and that article was not directed at you or any other PS5 owner/user/fanboy.

The post was for people who like me are weighing up all the potential options for Next Gen gaming.

Seeing how you Sony Fanboys are butthurt and flaming from the title of the article shows why Nvidia chose to compare these new laptops to the PS5. They probably knew that you guys will start a flame war.

PS: I suggest you go back and read the posts following my posts and you'll see who were the user/s actually baiting you fanboys.

I could dissect this rambling nonsense.

But, it's pretty clear where the bunk-boy is coming from, when he keeps on mentioning "Sony fanboys".

I rest my case.

Jeez I was joking about a flame war.
Personally I have owned PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360, Xbox one.

As always I prefer PS bit always end up buying the Xbox after the PS for exclusives. This gen am going PS5 for the ease of slapping a remote in a mates hand and having some fun.

I will most likely not buy a Xbox this gen as kids are old enough to use a PC without messing it up. New Xbox and PC are too similar to waste the cash and buy both. That in my opinion is Xbox’s and in turn Microsoft’s reason for being “dumb”.

Gamepass is meh!

Game Pass is spelled with two words.

So please explain, why "Gamepass is meh!"

In terms of spelling I was referencing post #5813.
With that unneeded personal attack out of the way.

I generally buy AAA titles at launch that are not on “gamepass”. I am not interested in old and indie nonsense.

How many AAA titles are there on Game Pass?

Do first party studios launch their games on Game Pass at launch?

Are games released in 2020 old?

Do your own research if your trying to make a point.

Back in my day young man. A “PS or Xbox” thread meant a fight to the death. Times have changed. *sigh*

Now Now, your words ... What did you expect was going to happen on the flame thread ? Tea and cake ?
