The price of 8k Tv's are nothing short of insane ! I personally think we are still 2 - 3 years if not longer away due to covid for mainstream decent prices for 8K and so forth.

Both consoles still need to tried and tested to harness the full power of 8k ...

"If I had asked my customers what they wanted they would have said a faster horse." - allegedly Henry Ford.

What I think of when people say they want 8k before decent ray tracing.

Hmmmm... Yes, the Series X only performs better in one game
Ok, what about the other games you left off the list?

Besides, I am now going to play Ghost of Tsushima again. It's frikken glorious. Seriously.

PS5 because:

-That controller looks really nice and im very comfortable with the overall design of PS controllers, used them all from PS1 to 4.

Tried the Xbox controller and I didnt like, also they say the haptic triggers are better than the ones on XB.

Also the UI, not for the res but the actual UI. Xbox looks kak, big thumbnails everywhere and you need to jump though so many menus to find a setting.

4K to 8K feels similar to the jump from 720p to 1080p

More like 1600 x 900 to 1080p.

You already have to be pretty close to a big TV to notice the difference between 1080p and 4K.
With a 85" TV, you need to be closer than 1.7m to notice the difference between 4K and 8K.

box Live Gold, the online service that allows Xbox console players to connect and play together online as well as a few free games per month, is seeing a price hike. As detailed on Xbox Wire, the one month plan for Xbox Live Gold is being increased by $1, while three months is now $30 and six months is $60.

If you're currently subscribed on an existing 12 month or six month plan, you'll keep your current price whenever you renew your subscription. You can convert your remaining Xbox Live Gold time into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a one-to-one rate, so if you have five months left on your subscription, you'd get five months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Considering that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming, this is a pretty easy choice to make.

Unlike its PlayStation counterpart, PlayStation Plus, Xbox Live Gold is required to play free-to-play games online, such as Fortnite. Xbox Live Gold is not required for PC players to play games online. These discrepancies have been the subject of much criticism from Xbox players, especially since Xbox Live Gold rarely gives away the best Xbox games month to month.

Seems like on Xbox, you either pay $10 per month, or you play with yourself.
Not that it would matter for me, the only console game I play online is Dark Souls / Demon's souls.

Blurry? Dude, go have your eyes seen to. Head trauma is serious business.

Understand what he is saying before you judge his eyesight.

An ORIGINAL PS4 can only output 1080p. This means on a 4K TV it’s left to the often not so great upscaler built into the TV to do the work.

This causes blur. A normal, expected result from duplicating pixels.

Was a little light hearted banter.

Often, but not always. I don't see any signs of blur on my 4K tv though.
