Just a day after releasing a new set of developer builds for iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan, Apple today launched its public beta program for both upcoming operating systems. Apple had announced at WWDC last month that it would launch the public betas in July, and a new support document published yesterday regarding changes to two-factor authentication hinted a launch was imminent.

It would be nice to know if Aperture still works under El Capitan.

If you use any Eclipse based java tool, the beta breaks it.

If have logged a ticket with Eclipse.org a few days back and it does not look like a quick fix. I doubt that Apple will fix this either.

If the public beta is the same as beta 3 then I would stay away. Feedback on beta 3 has been terrible. Beta 2 was apparently good but they messed it up on beta 3.

That should be sorted in the latest Beta and I can't imagine they would roll out the Public one without it.

had a look at the release notes and Radio Tab is disabled to some bug....

Oh you mean only the Radio tab, right I'm with you now.

On Beta 2 there is no Apple Music at all.

Fortunately I don't use the Radio really.

Or maybe an option to turn off update checks. I deleted all the apps and haven't used my phone for internet, but still managed to go through 20mb usage in a week. This **** add up.

Running iOS 9 Public Beta on my iPad 4, and it is running beautifully; very smooth and fast, except for the app switcher which seems to stutter a bit but other than that, I am liking iOS 9, especially the notification bar which has seen quite a few enhancements and now shows a lot more.

Battery life has been great, considering I took my iPad off charge at around 7:30am, used it as bit to browse, then I ran the update which took around 2hours to download due to slow WiFi, then it ran the update for a while, after updating I did a whole lot of app updates, while playing around and exploring the new update. It's now 22:35 and I still have 59% battery left. Just like iOS 6, it seems to barely even take battery while in stand by.
