I just knew this evil dictator will remove people will-nilly without any regard for the law. Anything to divert attention from his mattress millions. Gupta arrests, suspend PP. What next I wonder. I bet he is gonna cancel e-tolls now.

There is a marked difference between Bawa and Mpofu's opening addresses. Bawa appears to have been far better prepared - and focused on laying out what this process is intended to achieve, what it will investigate and how it should operate. Mpofu veers between admonishing Parliament for initially denying Mkhwebane legal representation on the basis that she is legally trained (a rule that was later overturned in court) and reiterating what Bawa has already confirmed: that this inquiry will seek to establish the veracity of the charges against Mkhwebane - despite the Western High Court dismissing Mkhwebane's previous bid to block President Cyril Ramaphosa from suspending her.

He also continues to condemn her suspension as 'illegal'. He also claims - without providing any detail - that there have been efforts to "remove" Mkhwebane's legal representation - this is despite acting Public Protector Kholeka Gcaleka stating that Mkhwebane will receive funding for her legal defense in this impeachment inquiry process and her next legal challenge against her suspension.

Exactly, just a couple of days ago Mpofu himself admitted that her report was was based on illegally obtained information and now this. I just hope the parliamentary committee has a way to deal with Dali, because it looks like he is prepared to ignore everything and ramble in until the end of Mkhwebane’s term.
