Dutch keyboard broken already? Pro-tip: Your points are much stronger if people know what the **** you are actually trying to say.
When someone puts the word "Dutch" in front of any noun it automatically makes it sound like some fringe sexual kink thing.

"Bro last night I totally gave her a Dutch keyboard!"

I can't see how you can sympathize with a school when they throw a kids future away - and actually having BEEN to this school to implement extra classes for maths, I know how **** it is. Let's cut the kids and school staff out of this - yes, i'm SAD a beautiful, useful building got destroyed as a result of violent kids and useless adults. That is where my sympathy ends.

It's a pity that they couldn't turn this school into something more, and it's sad that a lot of kids, long before the fire, still wouldn't have had a future or a decent education. Perhaps where you think i'm excusing or sympathizing, I am more frustrated that a lot of you only really care about this issue now, or faux care about it because it involved property damage in some way.

Now everyone can do the usual useless chirping of "they should vote properly", " they shouldn't have kids they can't afford", "this is why apartheid existed", it's helping sooooo much. And if people aren't tryng to be helpful, i recommend they get their panties in less of a knot at other opinions

What does apartheid have to do with anything?

You're making this into a race issue for obvious reasons and I've noticed an acceleration in your thought process linking any form of criticism to racial tensions. The response would've been the same regardless of race, gender, religion or whatever.

Stop acting like these kids where treaded any less fairly than any other kids in primary and secondary educational institutions. The sympathy is what the perpetrators want instead of abiding by the law.

Which law?

Laws have names and numbers etc. "the law" doesn't count...then is it's merely anecdotal.
No it's not., your welcome to go find the respective acts and statutuets around the seizure of assets and chain of custody. Also the one that empowers them to do so in this case.

Thread has already been scrubbed of the race issues, you may have missed it. But since you're late to the party, what late reasons are those?

i don't know how often I have to ask this question before it gets answered - would you send your kids/nephews/nieces to this school? I can also list some other schools for you and you can tell me if you would send your kids to these schools, since all schools are the same in your eyes

Not to this school because there’s obviously a severe lack of discipline among its students where they think arson is the answer to authority.

Again, what reasons are those?

So schools ARE different? Why do you think there is a lack of discipline? Do you think parents send kids to school to discipline themselves?

If things don't go your way, you can always resort to violence.
This is the South African way.

Followed by tears and: Why don't we have a school anymore...?

Omg! You taught me something today, thanks man :)

In all my years of English, I've never seen that word.

*Back on track, I was upset at them destroying the police car, but only due to the hypocrisy - either all destruction of property is bad or no destruction of property is bad. The police during that trial were twats.

To bait people into the discussion you want.

Of course they're different.

Maybe sympathisers with kids who are out of line influences many of their policies. I don't know.

Yes parents are or at least should be well aware of the school procedures. Discipline is part of primary and secondary education. It's in place to create a environment where students don't walk over teachers and disrupting the classroom which will hinder the performance of all students.

I can see that since the thread was cleaned up, it may have seemed I was the first person to bring it up, so I understand why there is a misconception. I'll only say that it wasn't my intention and that it was also silly to address it to you as you weren't present during the previous posts.

Schools, like other facilities such as hospitals, police stations, home affairs, etc are all entities onto themselves and differ based on reputation. I simply argued that not all facilities are the same, for if they are the same, the next time you want to use a facility, pick one in a poor communities and try your luck there. Try getting to the front of the queue in a government hospital for example - people that have used them know what I am talking about.

All those places worked just fine in 1994. Just saying.

And? What is the solution to keeping them working as well as they did in 1994, in your eyes?

I was merely arguing there is a difference between places. Nobody chooses to go to Charlotte Maxeke for example.

So you believe "no destruction of property is bad"?

WTF does that even mean?

Stop AA/BEE/Cadre Deployment and hire the right people that have the aptitude for the job.

In the scenario you described, the boers flipped over a police car. Some people were defending it, saying that black protestors destroy a lot more property and that the police were causing kak - point is a group of people still damaged government property regardless of the circumstances. A firearm was also discharged into the courthouse from what I remember?

I was fine with it from memory, I was only irritatetd by the hypocrisy, so I'm not sure why you brought it up?

The police van was flipped over (to stop it from being a danger) because it tried to run through a crowd with woman and children. It caught fire much later because engines are not designed to lie sideways and fluid would have spilled onto the hot engine. It was also the farmers who put the fire out (fun fact).
The firearm that was discharged was also from the police inside the court.

But you'll never hear this from news24 etc.

That is why I said I was fine with it - the cops were probably trash anyway. I can't remember who discharged the firearm, just that there was a lot of people rushing inside when they heard the verdict, then others were trying to break into the holding cells from the outside.

I can't remember the whole saga, but I do remember being pissed with whole justice system during it.
