Your mentality shows why this country is in the state it is.

And what does your mentality show? The kids still go to a school full of weapons and drugs, are neglected and now have had their phones stolen by police.

It isn't a school, it's a mini prison - how many forumites send their kids to **** holes hole this? If it was an ACTUAL school, i'd have given a ****

There really is something wrong with the KZN people.

It is a beautiful province with f$@%d up people... crazy and senseless behaviour is the order of the day.

I wouldn't want to go live there.

If a traffic cop wants to take your phone, what would you say to them?
I would torch everything around me to teach them a lesson.

The police are holding on to the phones because they won't all fit in the school safe. They probably all got their phones back after school. Police didn't steal anything.

When I was in school all our phones were once confiscated as well. There were a few dikbekke but no one threw a tantrum, there was no vandalism and no one decided to burn down the school.

Sounds like this school has a lot of problems with criminals so good for teachers and police trying to do something about it.

Oi, don't paint us all with that brush ffs...

There is something very wrong with a segment of the population in this province without a doubt, but its not everyone.

Story makes it sound like police were there for drugs and weapons, and confiscated the phones too. Then the burning started after? Who knows.

Point is a phone isn't a drug or a weapon and fkall to do with the police, no matter what was arranged. If the police are so useful, why didn't they stop the fires and people starting them?

I don't support the burning of infrastructure, but this place is and was a dump, kids shouldn't even be allowed to go there if you give a fk at all about their safety

 You live with that segment, so, you are part of them- which makes you crazy, too. :p

Seriously, though, I feel for you guys over there who are living a life that is decent and law-abiding among those who have lost their minds.
