Story makes it sound like police were there for drugs and weapons, and confiscated the phones too. Then the burning started after? Who knows.

Point is a phone isn't a drug or a weapon and fkall to do with the police, no matter what was arranged. If the police are so useful, why didn't they stop the fires and people starting them?

I don't support the burning of infrastructure, but this place is and was a dump, kids shouldn't even be allowed to go there if you give a fk at all about their safety

The pupils, who were wearing Congress of South African Students T-shirts, claimed that some teachers from Ndengetho Secondary School were corrupt and made pupils pregnant.

“This matter seriously affects our fellow pupils’ future. It has to come to an end. We have been informed by pupils from the school that some teachers were having sex with pupils on school premises.

“Some teachers are allegedly selling fake reports to pupils. Hopefully, the department will hear our cry and launch an investigation.

What will next month's story be? 50 students fell pregnant when their teachers would only give back their cellphones if they had sex with them.

I expect this base level of civility in all human beings. It frankly isn't much to expect. It's such a low bar I even expect it of some of the other great ape species.

I don't care what the school looks like. Don't be an arsonist. It's never the appropriate behaviour. You want to be an arsonist, then expect to be separated from the rest of society for our safety.

The parents of these children have failed to teach them how one should and shouldn't behave.

One can't go through life setting every obstacle one encounters on fire. Doing so will land one in prison, and rightly so. One would be a danger to those around one.
