They were not even born yet. When Mandela became president, he encouraged the new generation to study and make the best of opportunities available to them. That is the South Africa these little turds know. I bet most of them never heard the phrase "revolution before education".

The problem is their parents raised them.
Or their ‘ tribe’ ( it takes a village)

It is inevitable that you get nasty habits from your parents and it takes a good few years to recognize them and change if you want.

Yeah that is not cool and if you think that is what I did you are mistaken.
My biggest issue with your post was quoting Verwoerd - if you had simply alluded to the type of people that burn down schools then I have no issue with what you said... However Verwoerd was all about the idea that the "Bantu" where inferior, not worthy of western education, and that is my chief objection to your comment...

"There is no place for [the Bantu] in the European community above the level of certain forms of labour ... What is the use of teaching the Bantu child mathematics when it cannot use it in practice? That is quite absurd. Education must train people in accordance with their opportunities in life, according to the sphere in which they live."

You know , when i read the passage you quoted which clearly offends you , all i get is two words , vocational training.............
Just take the emotion out of it and stop being offended by everything because although that quote was about racism , pretty soon you wont be able to call a spade a spade without offending a shovel..

edit , for clarity , first result from google .
Vocational training definition: Businessdictionary.com defines vocational training as: “Training that emphasizes skills and knowledge required for a particular job function (such as typing or data entry) or a trade (such as carpentry or welding).”

The mental gymnastics you lot go through to defend apartheid never ceases to amaze, good job...

And the fact that particular job functions where considered off limits to the" Bantu" is all good with you?

"There is no place for [the Bantu] in the European community above the level of certain forms of labour

I hereby decree Jabulani22, by virtue of your skin colour you deserve no better vocation than to dig ditches for the rest of your life and your education will be limited to things that make you better at that task, would you be happy with that?

You lot ? nice bit of ism you did there yourself by lumping anyone who disagrees with you into the apartheid apologist group , wanna call someone a nazi too ?
Defend apartheid ? where did i do that ? i gave my opinion on the quote once the racism is removed.
All good with me ? Did i say this ?
Come on fella , false outrage at made up offenses doesnt translate well on a forum .

Edit - "There is no place for [the Bantu] in the European community above the level of certain forms of labour
Dont you think this meant that he didnt want other races serving each other but didnt necassarily have a problem with any race becoming anything of their choosing within their own space ? ie: bantu rocket scientist but only in a homeland ?

What vocations were available that required no mathematics? Gardening, general work like trench digging, driving, assistant, clerical work, etc?

Fair enough then. But it still does not say what is claimed. Unless you deliberate conflate "these people" with "they" being the people burning the schools.

Still, my point about deliberate fanning stands.

Lol, tell your friends Hunter and Vrotappel to stop the nonsense. You do like pretending to be this neutral and cool headed guy around here, you should stop with the act, especially when you are around me, I don't buy it.

Stop. Please.
How was one to become a rocket scientist without mathematics?

What is the use of teaching the Bantu child mathematics when it cannot use it in practice?

The fact that you think I am outraged is all on you, I just think you are wrong -you are the one ascribing outrage to me -I have been on this forum too long to get worked up over people trying to defend horrible ideas.

You lot as in the people who think that Verwoerd is someone worthy of defending, most particularly a vocal number in this thread.

You conveniently ignore the second part of the quote...

What is the use of teaching the Bantu child mathematics when it cannot use it in practice? That is quite absurd. Education must train people in accordance with their opportunities in life, according to the sphere in which they live."

So no, he is not suggesting a Bantu rocket scientist, he is suggesting that certain levels of profession are beyond their scope of opportunity and so the requisite education should not be taught to them..

The ANC has pretty much done the same, eg Math Literacy and 30% pass rates, all completely useless.
They've definitely done no better than the stupid white people that ran the country before them. Which is inexcusable.

And the fact that particular job functions where considered off limits to the" Bantu" is all good with you?
Even certain vocational training was usually off limits.

Dont you think this meant that he didnt want other races serving each other
Really?
