Jesus, the comments in this thread. People aren't even masking their racism anymore.
From both sides of the coin.
The word racist is being thrown around like a rag doll. You don't like me ? Bloody racist. And where's it coming from the most ???? Call me a racist for that. I don't sugar coat a turd.

Sorry but no, there are some very clearly racist comments in this thread.

KZN Education says it will not repair Durban school torched by pupils

On Wednesday, some of the buildings at Zwelibomvu Secondary School were set alight when the pupils saw their poor results reflected on their reports.

Pupils blamed the teachers for their poor performance and proceeded to torch the principal's office, school kitchen and staff room.
KZN Education spokesperson, Kwazi Mthethwa says they will not repair the damages.

"If ever there's a school that was destroyed deliberately in protest to anything, then it will mean the department won't be able to repair that school because we have a lot of other schools elsewhere within the community of KwaZulu-Natal who are in need of infrastructure."
"We can't keep on building schools when we have people who keep on destroying those schools," he said.

So you still don't get it?

Self-fulfilling prophecy refers to the socio-psychological phenomenon of someone "predicting" or expecting something, and this “prediction” or expectation comes true simply because one believes it will,[1] and their resulting behaviors align to fulfil those beliefs. This suggests peoples' beliefs influence their actions. The principle behind this phenomenon is people create consequences regarding people or events, based on their previous knowledge toward that specific subject.

This is as close to what I interpreted the post to be. Nothing racist about stating facts.
A) Yes, Verwoerd did state what was posted - and HE thought that he was right;
B) Yes, look at the topic of this thread alone and you tell me that this type of behaviour is not fulfilling Verwoerd's prophecy - the mere fact that Verwoerd was wrong/right is immaterial.

The best thing would be to repair the school for those who want to learn and deal decisively with those who don't.

Sure, but that doesn't seem to happen in SA.

What crime would burning a school be ? Arson, sabotage, treason ?

Sentence ? 5 years, 10 years, 15 years in jail ?

Never seen anyone sentenced, except for the guy who burnt the police car.

So these kids need to burn a school because Verwoerd only gave their parents/grandparents bantu education?

I don't understand where you are going with this?
