Push One Now - Spam Call - How to stop?

I just don't answer calls from numbers I don't know unless I know that day that I'm expecting a call from somebody (e.g. insurance, bank, etc.)

If it's urgent then they can leave a voice mail or send me an email or text message and I'll contact them.

^ Yep, same here.

Marketing & scammy callers used to keep trying from other numbers if I picked up once. Now I just block unanswered callers if they keep trying.

Bank, insurance, etc. will leave a voice message if urgent - even then I'd only call back a secure number from a known website.

So you are still getting the same amount of marketing calls? Double check that you signed up correctly and selected the right options.
Yeah, the amount of spam is still the same. I am pretty sure I signed up correctly, even received the confirmation messages for a successful sign up.

This started on my phone a couple of days ago. Ever since I put an MTN sim in the second slot (new pay as you go as data backup).

What's bizarre though is that the original call came through the MTN sim... now today it came through twice - I missed the first call (MTN) but three minutes later it came through the Telkom sim. How is it possible that they know my Telkom number now? Are these cell systems leaking that info from the phone?

I get it from a private number so not sure it if is legit.
Ignored it but then it kept on calling so when I answer it with robo voices says Press 1 now to win 10K.

I get some sales call from a 021 number, I answer and just a brief ad message plays then it hangs up, this can continue for several calls. If I leave the call unanswered I get a voice message with the full ad message. A way of making sure the message is received without risking a hang up? Does not work because I delete that voice message immediately.

Im not sure why, but I haven't received a spam call in a while. I don't even have Should I Answer? installed anymore. This was definitely one of the most annoying ones on top of my list of spam calls received. Maybe Google Caller is filtering them out?

I do still get a ton of spam SMS's, but Google mostly pick them up as spam.

021 numbers whole day long. Its now an everyday occurrence. Even after blocking several of them, it just keeps coming 021... 021... 021...

I just gave the last caller a piece of my mind, that should show them...

I listened to the end and then pressed 9 to opt out (as per their instructions). Let’s see if they respect that.

I wonder how many people actually "press one now" or buy anything the spammers are offering. I never have or will. Sadly, it must be enough to make it worth their while.
