pvp or pve

I just started playing GW-Factions today and I'm already confused, should I start out with a pve char or pvp char? What's the difference and how will it effect my gameplay?

Best to start with pve (player vs enviroment ) Once you get to know the ropes go to pvp (player vs player. hope that helps

If you create a PvP character you can only use it in PvP. PvP has various Areana's and you can also use them in GvG's (Guild vs Guild). I would start with a PvE char as this can travel and be used in PvP too.
