I don't understand why there would be gay flags at a football match.
Flying a gay flag at a FIFA WC match in Qatar would be a good way to highlight that bigotry still reigns supreme in some countries. It would also be a good gesture if Qatar allowed it to demo that they aren't that bigoted, but they are sensitive or their religion is so it would be a good way to protest.

Yeah I've never understood why people have to wave their ever changing rainbow flags everywhere they go to constantly show the world they're gay etc.

I still don't get the flag thing. . .
Why did the bigots feel the need to ban gay flags in the first place?

Are people flying gay flags at football matches in non bigoted countries?
As I asked before, why is there a sudden need for gays to advertise they are gay wherever they go lately?
The point of pride and the flags is to normalize LGBTQ+ people. It's not a sudden need, it's been happening for decades. It might appear to you that there are more gay people because they are more comfortable now being open about it than before.

Ah, okay.
So it's not a common thing everywhere and they were scared of seeing it in their country, but rather they want to ban the people being oppressed in their own country from flying the flag to bring awareness to the issue.

See, I thought it was a common thing at all football matches and that confused the hell outta me.

I get the Qatar thing now.
But it still getting out of hand in places where you can gay all you want.

Yeah, you're gay, we get it. You don't have to wave a flag about where ever you go.
Which is why I made fun with the nudists.
They are nudists, but you don't want to see old peoples bollox wherever you go, do you?

The same reason why people wave a rugby team's flag or wear Toyota for Jesus caps.

Well, if in public on days when your team is not playing, yes. Leave your jersey at home.

But I can guarantee you someone wearing a Manchester United jersey to a Stormers game will likely leave with a black eye.

Is it really? How many people still discriminate against them?
Yeah, you're gay, we get it. You don't have to wave a flag about where ever you go.
They don't really wave a flag wherever they go. At pride parades, sure. But LGBTQ+ are normal people.

Yeah, I don't want to see it either.

They look really young. I wonder how they would feel about the old South Africa after a humiliating 2 years of the mandatory draft.

This was recent too, this was the Stellenbosch pee student's brother. He has even less reason to be waving that flag than a homosexual does waving a pride flag.

Afriforum went to court to get this flag unbanned. And while I feel it shouoldn't be banned, it's kinda stupid targeting one symbol of an ideology while ignoring all the rest.

Or just be a normal gay or LGBTETC person without a flag. No need to wave it everywhere you go because then you're not normalizing anything.

What is to normalize? It's just wrong.

There's an idea. Maybe the LGBTQ community should consider forming a country. A bit like lexity and co want for the western cape. The community could buy out one of the poor countries and take it over. Would be fabulous.
Slight problem with forming a country is that people grow old and die. Which is an issue when the majority of members in your country are not interested in the opposite sex, or they have mutilated themselves at childhood to pretend to be the opposite sex, thus rendering them infertile.
