QQ Messenger for file sharing.

howsit..i tried searching for something related but...no luck.
i used to used QQ messenger (http://qq.co.za) a couple of years back..just for chatting or whatever. i ran into it again today..and noticed that the latest client supports video chat, voice, and file transfer..all of it done on a local server, would it not be possible to set up a filesharing network based on their already inplace structure? either by making a "group" of us users who wish to share files and letting it run all day or for someone with any programming knowledge to write an app that can maybe automize it ... idiot friendly..not sure how possible/feasible any of this is..just wondering if anyone has any experiences..etc with this.

I think Aimster runs on the AOL IM network, not totally sure though, so should theoretically be possible. But it would probably be easier to set up a local DC hub or something similar, which already exist anyway.
