Noob question :D

Currently on ye-olde dialup (kinda maxed out cap on watching Johnny Cash video clips online).

I want to forward emails however , when on dial-up not able to forward emails

When on ADSL , I'm able to forward emails.

Any idea why this is happening ?

Receiving of emails on ADSL/ dial-up 100 % !

On 1 Gig MWEB package - have dial-up enabled in times of needs !

Many thanks

Yep , trying to forward from my Worldonline (part of MWEB) addy :D

OE mentions this (translated from Afrikaans to English)

Server response : 554 5.7.1
Relay access denied
Server fault 554

OE also states that the recipient has been rejected by the server

1) Open Outlook / Outlook Express
2) Select Tools -> Accounts
3) Choose your e-mail account properties
4) Select tab "server"
5) Tick option "My outgoing server requires authentication"
6) Logon using
Username: Your ADSL username
Password: Your ADSL password

I think Mweb requires separate subscriptions for dialup and adsl - try their help desk

The 1 Gig package I'm on has dial-up still enabled .

It seems that there's a SNAFU with the dial-up connection trying to connect to the SMTP server.

On ADSL - smtp.mweb.co.za works sending out emails . When on dial-up not

Ta for all input - much appreciated :D

Have a great Saturday evening :)

I was with Mweb until last month and used the same mail settings for Adsl and dial-up, so I don't thinks theres anythinbg wrong with your settings
