Question about Laptop HD upgrade.

My very old laptop3 500,320M RAM,10G 4200RPM 512K cache,Intel 443TX chipset.I would like to upgrade HD to 80G 7200RPM 8M cache.Does the chipset support it?I can not google anything about it.

yes as long as you get an IDE type hard drive it will work

Coz I know some old chipsets don't support big hard drive.

if it was a P1 i would say know, but from what i know P2 and above support "large drives"

guang, could you put up an HWiNFO screenshot somewhere that shows the motherboard specs in more detail? I've been looking around Intel's mature chipsets section but can't find that exact one. Maybe more info would help track it down.
