okay since i'm in Pta C-Max i obviously dont travel that much and have never really been anywhere near the border of our country nevermind on the other side of it so i need to ask a question which may be stupid but please just answer it for me.

say i have a vodacom cellphone which i use to read my email (nokia 9xxx series). if i go over the sea, i need to enable international roaming to be able to make phone calls, do i need to do something also for the data part to work? or will it just work? or how does it work?

Please let me know

Thanks

If your sim card has been activated for roaming then gprs and 3G data will automatically be available on foreign networks that have data roaming agreements with your network. Of coarse when I roam i stay away from data because they always rip you off. Some overseas networks charge as much as R100 a meg. You should check out the vodacom website to see if the the country you are going to has a network that has a data roaming agreement with vodacom and also how much they rip you off to use it.
