Question about Telkom ADSL 5102G modem

I just connected the modem without using the install CD, works fine.

Question: I saw something about installing .NET framework using this modem.

In laymans terms what am I missing by not installing the modem with CD ?

I'm not sure Moto, if it works don't worry about it, try and give us a link for the modem, I'm too lazy
