Question regarding IP addresses

I've been playing an online game for a while now called Dark Throne, basically in my alliance I need to click everyday to earn credits. But you can only click once per IP every twenty four hours. Everyone else with dynamic IPs just disconnects, reconnects and clicks a bit more. It's not like it's wrong to do so in the game.

But now my problem is Darkthrone always shows that I'm logging in from the IP 196.2.127.9 while my real IP address does change when I reconnect as I've checked but what the website shows is always the same unless I logon from another PC.

This is starting to be quite annoying, and I'm also curious where Dark Throne is getting that IP from, can anyone help?

It's the WBS proxy IP, causes some inconsistencies at times, the visble IP depends on how the client retieves it.

yes it forwards your dynamic IP but the website has 2 choices to use the forwarded IP or the proper IP, it chose the latter, you can use other web proxies if its that much of a problem

slightly off topic: i think WBS' largest mis calculation is that you have no alternative around thier solutions they implement, for instance they implement the SMTP rule so the network doesnt get banned from other networks because of spammers, but if you need to get passed it there is no way

they implement the cache proxy to help us with cached data but if you need to refresh cache or show your real IP to a website you are screwed yet again

Tried it and it works fine :)

Bit of a nuisance since I have about 40 links to click each day. Nothing major though :)

are the links static? because if they are you could cheat and automate it :))
