nope thats a new development, i posted a support ticket there just a few weeks ago, (still no response though)

i guess the the support tickets from that page stopped routing to /dev/null for some reason and they actually started getting them, so they decided to take out the link to solve the problem of having to deal with us via that page once and for all.

I can only assume that since they do not answer emails that they cannot read, therefore decided that they may as well remove that link.

Gee, give them a break they've only just learnt that they don't have to wait for the phone to ring 240 times before answering. ;)

Sorry, I missed that, I didn't read properly & assumed that it was the index.html page that was broken...now i c that the Support thing does not link to anything anymore...WBS does not want to offer support anymore...?

What do you mean they don't want to any more? They have never wanted to ...
That is the inescapable conclusion that one reaches...:)

i think they took it off because either

a) no one used it

or

b) everyone used and abused it.

Yeah, emailing the Helpdesk now probably constitutes "Abuse of Service" ;)

I think [a] is most likely - noone used it & abuse was involved from both sides :D

I seriously doubt that it never got used, I'm sure that like the rest of us that have ever tried emailing helpdesk@wbsmobile.co.za, only to receive no reply - ever, that the Support link was exactly the same thing - heck it probably created an email & sent it to helpdesk@wbsmobile.co.za...no, wait that would actually require a system to have been implemented...

well, thanks for all the input. Thank goodness I don't need the link, was just curious. I was told that I shouldn't have to call the helpdesk, but rather the re-seller (is that how you say/spell it?).

I'd recommend ShareDirect. I loved the whole getting the modem and logging in on the same day. Guys at work had to e-mail the CEO of Telkom to get a line. Anybody want the e-mail address??? ;-)

WBS's own black hole!

This 'WBS-helldesk-black-hole-link' reminds me of the Defence Force.

One of the elevators in Defence HQ stopped working and, after investigating the problem, they realised it's from all the S+T claims that were thrown down the elevator shaft by the Personnel department.

Ignorance Is Bliss.
