Quiz – see how well you know your Apple products

I was replying to your post where you quoted a study by Soluto highlighting the following:

Parallels is far nicer than Boot Camp, and I do have a Delete key.

I would not go far as to call it a study. More as a biased article written by an apple fan boy. :p But yes I get what you're saying.

Can't see how a VM is better than native thou. I used both and booting native was well far superior and is always. But obviously switching between both environments then parallels would be the option.

A 7/10 apple fanboy here :)

I know my apples more than I choose to buy them

Please, even people not interested in Apple know that MBPs are unparalleled in overall quality.

I'm not going to argue the Macbook with you as it has a touchpad that is sexy as fk to use :D There isn't another touchpad on the planet that is as precise, accurate and all round well made - not even the ASUS ZenBook with their attempted clone of the Apple touchpad.

Even [XC] Oj101 knows, and I guarantee you that as a photographer he loves that retina IPS screen too.

Haters gonna hate.

Yeah I mean the thousands of recalled 17" mbp's because of faulty graphics card, badly designed unibody, retina screen smearing. Much quality, very build.

What a retarded thing to say...

Show me something better.

It wasn't only 17". At least they have excellent recall programs and recourse when things do go south. Happens with all electronics, cars, etc.

Compare that to a significant number of faulty Intel Windows laptops (early i7s pre Sandy Bridge) where because of a fault with the integrated GPU, even with dedicated GPUs, one cannot get a resolution higher than 1024x768. The customer has zero recourse in these cases. Manufacturers blame Intel, and Intel gives customers the finger.

Apple is heavily customer satisfaction and service orientated. These are things one pays for. Overseas anyone with an Apple product can walk into an Apple Store and get immediate service and swap outs. Faulty iPhone battery? No problem, here's a brand new iPhone, no questions asked.

Frayed Lightning cable because of mistreatment? No problem, here's a new cable no questions.

Another example is 13" MBPs with faulty SATA cables after a few years. Apple's customer service is so good that they even resolve these issues on their laptops which are several years out of warranty.

A huge element to Apple's success is their customer service, which gives people more reassurance than any other company.

Unfortunately since the iStore is not affiliated with Apple in any way, merely a retail outlet for Core, we don't get as good service here.

But the build quality is impeccable, all I am seeing here is. Fault, fault, fault. lol. You just moving your own goal posts from amazing quality, to amazing customer service rofl.

Because it is. No Windows laptop comes close.

When I'm using a device for 8 - 12 hours a day, I want the very best...

So you're saying there is no laptop that beats yours in terms of performance ? :erm:

I find this hard to believe, have you actually sampled every high end Windows Laptop on offer? Not suggesting that MCP is not a fine piece of hardware, but I find it strange that you would think that Apple somehow have a monopoly on good Laptop build quality.

That's what I find so fascinating. The rMBP design is now 3 years old. Yet Windows manufacturers cannot get anything near the quality. Especially the Trackpad.

And yes, I've sampled most of the high end Windows laptops, from Asus to Dell to Samsung.

Let me just clarify that I do editing on the PC in my sig, not on a Mac. I do, however, use a fairly high end IPS display (not Eizo or NEC high-end, an Asus ProArt PA279Q - maybe one day when I have R 40,000 lying around to blow on a screen I'll grab an Eizo but I don't see that happening in my lifetime :D). However, I won't discredit the Apple Cinema HD displays - they're right up there with the best.

Apple doesn't manufacture the GPUs. Remember the class action lawsuit against NVIDIA over the faulty GPUs extensively used in the HP Pavilion dv6000 and dv9000 laptops? Do you blame NVIDIA or HP for that? HP didn't make the GPUs.

You know about the pathetic VRMs on the reference design cards leading to very high failure rates on the GeForce GTX 570? Do you blame AIB partners for that or NVIDIA? The partners didn't specify the reference design.

You know that the reference design Radeon R7/R9 series, even though newer, has a significantly higher failure rate that the older Radeon HD 7xxx series? Do you blame AIB partners for that or AMD? The partners didn't specify the reference design.
