Ridiculous, he no longer has an official government position, why should he be subsidised in any way?

The Gov. uses tax to try and convict him and then the Gov. pay to defend him
WTF ? Does this make any sense ?

Well, actually the tax payer does pay your legal fees if you can't afford your own lawyer.

Sometime's i'd prefer Bush to run the country. Then I think getting monkey's would do a better job. Oh wait, aren't they?

R10 000 000 worth?

I said it was wrong. The point is Zuma handpicked his lawyers where the State should have provided his lawyers for him. Wouter Basson did the same - also had expensive lawyers, however I do believe that Basson's trials were paramount to High Treason. But as I said this is not unusual, but most certainly wrong on so many grounds.

I wonder if the figure of R10Million is everything?

Advocates do not have set rates.
What did Zuma's Advocate Kemp J Kemp SC charge per day during that long drawn out trial? Work out how many days and multiply that by what you think he charges per day to stand and look pretty in court.

Exactly, why should he be granted better lawyers than the average citizen?

If the taxpayer has to pay for a member of government's trial like Zuma, pretty soon we will hear from Peter Marais demanding compensation for his trial.
