Bit confusing.

Eskom is a South African electricity public utility. It was established in 1923 as the Electricity Supply Commission (ESCOM) and also known by its Afrikaans name Elektrisiteitsvoorsieningskommissie (EVKOM)

From now on please use ... Elektrisiteitsvoorsieningskommissie :p

At least poverty is getting less, more jobs are being created, schooling is available to everyone, people can finally afford to eat and basic services are available to everyone, and everyone is now protected from crime and injustice.

A family member supplies to Rotek Industries, the BBBEE middle-woman adds a 300% markup - does absolutely F'all to the actual product, doesn't even transport it

Why do you think Kusile was such a F'up - and this doesn't stop with Eskom, this is standard practice across all government entities..

10 points for empowerment, -10 points for economic growth and efficiency..

I'm shocked /s

Yea how many people are prosecuted (and in jail) for corruption ?
this, why would you expect anything otherwise,

we all know what the ANC is and how they operate, why is this even news?
the ANC cant pay its own people that work at lutuli house, but can afford to put posters everywhere of that Snake Ramap0es everywhere.
as well as literally hand out R200 notes at Churches for people to Vote ANC,

so why is it even surprising they do such blatant corruption? its part and parcel of a corrupt and incompetent and cancerous organization.
what we need is a big shot of Chemo to flush them down the toilet.

Corruption under the guise of BEE. Cadre deployment under the guise of AA. That is the crux of the problem. Not BEE not AA.
There’s more than enough capable BEE companies.
That's the thing, there are some honest BBBEE compliant companies, but many are just eating at the trough..

The political party said that the power crisis is the direct result of supplying power to neighbouring countries, like Zambia and Zimbabwe, at the expense of South Africa.
False. The FF is talking out of their behind.

Eskom has the data that disproves the FF’s pathetic attempt at misinformation. Again.

13497 GWh of energy sold to international customers
219423 GWh available for distribution.

A bit of simple division shows that international customers accounted for only 6.15% of all electricity consumed. Stop blaming Eskom selling electricity to our neighbours for loadshedding issues. They sound like the conservative protectionist Brexit bunch.

Here’s the annual 2021 report, page 5:

Its technically not false to some level, and yes I know there are contracts and all that in place which means Eskom's hands are tied... but if we weren't supplying to those countries would LS have been as bad in the country? We may have been able to be 1 level lower in general (just a guess)
