R497 per month for uncapped 30Mbps fibre from Afrihost

Afrihost has slashed the price of its Frogfoot fibre products with uncapped packages starting at under R500 per month.

Frogfoot Networks is an open-access fibre infrastructure provider with coverage in many neighbourhoods across South Africa.

The network operator has an extensive fibre footprint, with more than 5,000 buildings linked to its network and a coverage area spanning more than 7,000 square kilometres.

I was wondering that too, but you can pay for the 30/30 line if you wish.

My parents don't care about upload speed, so they are getting the 30/3 package :D
I guess its fine yeah if you not uploading to ftp or doing online gaming at least the prices are going down unlike Vuma.

I think now it could make sense to roll out FTTH in Townships example Frogfoot can cover Seshego because Polokwane not that far

News keeps getting better and better. Was happy when Axxess was going to bump me from 10 to 30 at R665 a month from 1 May. But now for only R497 with Afrihost. Definitely switching when the time comes :D

Axxess is 30/3 for R665. Have to pay R725 to go up to 30/30. That is R128 more than Afrihost. I would switch but Afrihost have told me would expect 1 to 5 days downtime when they change line ownership. Can't handle that working from home.

I would be happy with a 30/3. Dont really need the upload. So would save R168 pm if i switch. Plus Axxess support has gone downhill as of late. 1-5 days seems a lot though, thought it was only a few hours. @AfriNatic could maybe confirm.
