R5bn to be spent on ICT before 2010

So all in all something like R12 Billion of our tax money is being blown into government becoming an even more vested shareholder of the South African ICT crowd.
Yeah, erm, needless to say government has proven that it is incapable of doing any good in the marketplace.
And also, isn't Neotel's capital investment around 5 Billion or so?
So with that in mind, R12 Billion of our tax money could technically fund 2-3 other telcos.
Now if only government would stop meddling and open the market to true competition we wouldn't be in this feckin situation!
