Race targets to become stricter in South Africa

They are looking at the wrong end of the spectrum. Rather align the birth rates between the various races, because it seems a certain group is reproducing at a tremendous rate, skewing the scales in their favour.
 
What I'd like to know is, when you make this decision you consider all the implications.
So what was their decision based on:
1. They do not expect the skilled white people to leave
2. They do not care if the skilled white people leave
3. They want the skilled white people to leave

I can't see a reasonable analysis finding that this won't chase away an already diminishing pool of skilled labour.
 
The sad part is that if there had been a focus on fixing the education system (pre-school -> high school), then we would not have the need of AA after 18-20 years.
 
Affirmative Action is the biggest reason for South Africa's economic decay. It might take another decade or two until the masses realize that. Eventually even the "die hard" supporters will have to agree. One can only bluff himself until a point.

Or it could be a good reason for the growth in the South African middle class?

I really will not take advise from someone that cant determine what is false in a statement.

There are what, 5 million white people? And just over 40 million black people.

Even if you took all of the jobs away from the 5 million white people and gave them to black people, you still have 35 million black people in poverty.

The only way to help South Africa is to grow the economy. But the ANC would prefer measures like this which appeal to voters while doing nothing but harm in practice.

It would've been more if there were more jobs and less restrictions for companies to open up and thrive. AA only works for a brief period of time, that ended about 15 years ago.

I honestly don't know my only counter is anecdotal so it's pointless.
