Well what is the logical conclusion of affirmative action and race targets?

Already there are many jobs where whites are told not to apply - especially in the public sector.

So tell me, what if the ANC's wet dream came true and all of the whites lost their jobs? Would black people no longer live in poverty? Please. Only a minority of black people would be well off - for the rest, nothing would have changed.

Incidentally that is exactly what has happened in South Africa.

Nobody wants all white people to lose their jobs, if that's the source of your anger you are mistaken.

Well except BLF they prob want all white people to lose their jobs.

I know that, but I'm trying to get you to realise that AA is pointless.

Think about it - the point of AA is to ensure that a greater portion of skilled jobs go to black people than white people, in line with demographic representation.

Because there is only a finite number of jobs, this means that, following that, some white people might be out of work because of AA. Because jobs that they might have got, went to black people. With me so far? I can dig out anecdotes of skilled people who had to leave South Africa because they were unable to find jobs due to their skin colour.

Anyway, you might say, so what? Whites had it good for so long, and without AA, it would have been the black person that was unemployed. So instead of a black person unemployed, we have a white person unemployed. Fair's fair, you say. Right? Not that you WANT all white people to lose their jobs, but in some cases, as AA proceeds, it will happen.

Do you disagree that AA will sometimes result in white people being unemployed?

Now we need to examine whether AA will be EFFECTIVE at helping black people. To do that, I think it helps to look at the most extreme version of AA. Why? If the most extreme version of AA will not help black people, then how can a watered down version, like what we currently have?

So the most extreme version is to simply say that all whites lose their jobs immediately and must be replaced by black people.

What happens? White people leave the country in droves - the ANC, EFF and BLF will be overjoyed by this.

But what about black people? As I said, only about 5 million black people actually benefit. The rest still live in poverty - another 35 million or so.

So who have you really helped?
