Radeon RX 5700 vs GeForce RTX 2070 – Pricing

Both AMD and Nvidia recently launched new graphics cards for high-end gamers, with Nvidia refreshing its RTX 20 Series lineup with “Super” variants and AMD launching new Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT GPUs.

Nvidia’s Super graphics cards are built on the same architecture as their predecessors, but boast enhanced performance at a similar price point.

So no reason to pay the Nvidia premium. They are becoming the second Intel it seems now that AMD is offering some decent competition again.

Seeing this I have to wonder whether NVidia may call a price cut by the time the 2080 SUPER lands. NVidia’s Achilles heel is now their price and the AIB parts look to be expensive by too much,

You are right, Intel and Nvidia sucks, AMD is cheaper and everyone should never touch Intel or Nvidia again! /s

Are you drunk or just stoopid? Your own video link shows the 2080ti outperforming the 1080ti by ~25fps with RTS turned OFF.

The Hardware Unboxed review back in Sep 2018:

4K

1440p

The 2080 and 1080Ti trade blows. On average the 2080Ti is ahead, way ahead. You do know the 2080 is now obsolete, soon to be replaced by the 2080 SUPER? Hardware Unboxed determined the 2080 to have a 1% advantage over the 1080Ti which will soon change with the SUPER.

Just to add:

https://www.tomshardware.com/news/new-nvidia-geforce-driver-super-graphics-cards,39828.html

Nvidia's Latest Drivers Are (Super) Ready for DX12
Nvidia today released new Game Ready Drivers with improved performance via DirectX 12 in several games, compatibility with the new Nvidia Super graphics cards that debuted today and support for three additional monitors certified as G-Sync Compatible.

The improved DirectX 12 support affects performance in Metro Exodus, Strange Brigade and Tom Clancy's The Division 2. Nvidia said that its latest drivers improved performance in these titles by a combined average of 16% over its previous driver. The actual improvement varies between games--Metro Exodus was said to get up to a 31% bump with the new driver--and will depend on system configurations.
Still to see the updated reviews.

Nonetheless the 1080Ti and 2080Ti the same with RTX disabled

The 2080Ti is a beast.

When AMD can offer something to compete with the 2080ti till then they aren't offering anything for the high end.
