NR not looking the best but mounted outside might show a different picture.
Yea, I hope the fact that is going to be outside and higher will make a difference.
I hope this time it works as I really doubt they are going to have a tower closer to us than this.

Keep us posted snowman!
So tried it this afternoon on the roof and I can say that I am extremely happy. This is what we got. sdkjdfjkewrbgerg.png ojrgjobneriogowejgoptpiiwt.png

It might not be as fast as some of you are getting but this will be way better than our 4mbps telkom LTE. Until this weekend when we can get it on a pole outside it will be sued indoors relying mostly on the 4G, which still gives us around 30mbps. Will contact rain and see if they can maybe help us find a better spot on the roof .

Yea it is. Im really surprised with that actually. If I am correct on the tower location we are connecting to is about 1.4km away.

Yeah if it's mounted outside yes that is about right with no mahjor obstructions like buildings. Trees are not that big of an issue for SUB 6Ghz 5G like Rain and it being the lowest of the lot at 3500MHz (3.5GHz)

If you compare that frequency with the 5GHz used by wifi, wireless providers and wugs it's actually pretty decent.

A Directional 5G antenna with a supported 5G indoor CPE will be a much better solution though if that ever becomes a thing.

Pretoria North residents!

Is your Rain 5G working?

I had NO internet since Sunday ... and the 4 / 5 proceeding days it had issues ...

I am studying and need internet... I watch online explanation videos and I am starting to get annoyed.

Mine went down this afternoon. Restarted and it was fine again. No other major issues. Was 4G last night, but OK again this morning.

The stage 4 loadshedding is taking its toll on the towers it seem. After the end of our loadshedding the tower was online and then offline. Was the same with the vodacom tower. Was back to normal after about 30 min.

Yes, this happens to me as well.
Very frustrating. Needs a couple of reboots.
I figured if you could get it to "lock" to a tower, that could help.
Around me, closes tower gets loadshedding and then the router does not switch to the other tower.

Anyone else in PTA North struggling with slow upload speeds. Our 4G signal also dropped from 5 bars to 3 bars. 5G is about the same (speeds between 60 to 200 Mbps)

Same story.
In Ninapark (connecting to the tower in Willem Cruywagen).
No response from Rain yet.
Are you guys still experiencing outages? Also living in Ninapark and haven't had any 5G for the past 5 days or so. Came back this morning for about 2 / 3 hours, now it's just offline again.
