Since yesterday no connectivity but there's signal. According to their support there's a technical issue in KZN and they don't know when it will be fixed.

I have just got confirmation that rain is down in KZN and they do not have a turnaround time for when they will fix it lol. I then inquired about payment. If we are going to pay the full amount because of this and they havent gotten back to me

We are in Durban/KZN and our Rain is just fine though. Perhaps it is more isolated to certain suburbs rather than the whole of KZN.

Well, of course, they are going to charge you the full amount. No provider will charge you less due to downtime, since that's not really how it works with these products. If you needed less downtime you should be looking at other providers with Service Level Agreements.

Well, that's interesting I want to know more. Was this when you signed up initially with them or was it the first month?
last month. Had a similar issue in KZN bro. I could not use the internet for a week even though i had signal which was very weak as i normally get 5 solid signal and high speeds. I took screenshots and speedtest and pictures and sent them to rain.

Well, then that's honestly new since every single ISP I know and have had issues with refused to do it since there is no actual Service agreement with their users. I can understand Rain doing it if you were down for anything longer than a week and it was their fault. Will try to remember this if we ever go down this side. Guess all you can do is hope they do the same or it comes back sooner.

Back to this topic still doing fine on rain in KZN, but the routing is messed up. Not sure which areas are down.

Test from right now in Durban ^
Still unsure why it's routing through cape town though.

Man you are lucky to see that speeds.... I get 1mb download and upload

We spent like a whole month optimizing rain when we originally only had like 4mbps. We got a B618-22d and a Poynting to the tower we found which is 2600Mhz.

challenge accepted but then i am not using a poynting ..... Just going to take you on with my normal router heheh

Nice...We are pretty far away from the tower, so we have to use the poynting. We are barely in coverage. Note that our speeds are consistently that high when the antenna is positioned in that location. :)
