So I guess it is going to become the norm to accept 500Kb download speeds on my fixed rain account.

Then after 11pm, back to 5MB..

They just need to sort that out, it's so irritating for the fixed users.

My opinion, they should have two separate networks for Fixed and Mobile users, clearly sharing infrastructure and bandwidth currently, it simply cannot keep up with the amount of users.

Hopefully only a few months before Fibre is ready in my area. :D

Well, I believe that once the "free days" period is over for Rain mobile users, performance during peak time should pick up for fixed LTE users. It makes sense because currently the majority (if not all Rain mobile users) are hammering the network during peak time as well seeing that they don't need to pay a cent for usage (yet).

I don't know, I could be wrong, but if I were a betting man, I'd place some money on this theory of mine :D

And how much do you pay if you only need 1Gig mobile data per month?

BTW, you can get cell c data at R10/gb

My Point exactly ... Rains pricing is not innovative or competetive
Also judging by posts I am seeing they have some nasty teething issues atm

Depends on what you need, if you only need 1Gig mobile data a month, then it is not bad.
