Works fine. But I have some questions on the setting. Cannot find a manual online.
One question is in the system settings there is the "Lock" on 4G ticked with 5G unticked.
It's supposed to be 5G isnt it? (See screen grab below)
Second question is on WLAN settings frequency band is set to 2.4 with 5G available but not picked.
Same question as above, I guess.
Then in WLAN/ SSID List I get the following

WLAN multi-SSID allows the network to provide up to four different data channels. Among the listed SSIDs, the first two channels work on the 2.4 GHz band, and another two work on the 5 GHz band. To ensure security, you are advised to change the SSIDs and access passwords periodically.

Am I right that 4 channels is available to be activated fir wifi in the house and that 1 and 2 is 2.4 HGz and the other two are 5?
And that 5 is supposed to be faster but 2.4 goes further?

Thank you
P.S. the diffs in speeds between the 2.4 and 5 does not seem much - too little to convince me I understand it correctly

Hi there,

We have just assisted a client with the same issues after incorrect configuration and down for 2 days. Rain tech couldn't help because he is offline and remote support cannot be provided.

To answer your questions from technical point of view -

One question is in the system settings there is the "Lock" on 4G ticked with 5G unticked.
It's supposed to be 5G isnt it? (See screen grab below)

Answer - Lock on 4G and 5G simply means that you looking your connection into one of those. Therefore, 4G is ticked by default because it is assumed by rain that you do have 4 LTE coverage within the area hence selling the package to you. Then if you have 5G coverage, you can now use the 5G link https://www.rain.co.za/fiveg to extend your current 4G to 5G faster speed. However, if you tick 5G lock and does not have 5G coverage you won't be able to connect.

Am I right that 4 channels is available to be activated fir wifi in the house and that 1 and 2 is 2.4 HGz and the other two are 5?

Answer - This is correct. SSID is simply the name of your network. For frequency, the higher the frequency, the shorter the distance. For example, I can only get better signal with 2.4GHZ when am further away from the connection and better signal when am closer with 5Ghz.

And that 5 is supposed to be faster but 2.4 goes further?

Nope, 5 does not mean faster. Frequencies are determined by distance as explained above. 5GHZ means will get better signal closer than further. 2.4Ghz means will be better further away.

I hope you find this helpful
