This is going be terrible lol
Tether to laptop and laptop be the hotspot, with vpn running on the laptop, boom full speed for the house!
Well yes in a theoretical situation, but in reality almost all people running this setup from home will only achieve sub-2mbps speeds so it wouldn't be viable in current conditions.

The only thing that works are Rain without an issue is their billing system and their ignoring of e-mails!

Coverage is too sporadic for this to be a useful alternative to a data contract from MTN or Vodacom. Holding out for dem Black Friday specials.

Can't see them enforcing this. My guess is their uncapped will be "uncapped" with an FUP, just like their streaming is rate limited and not resolution limited like they claim.

Guys, give the negativity a break.

Rain is still building out their network, and it - like all the other networks - will never be perfect for everyone all the time.

Not even the FNO's can claim that.

They have also previously mentioned that most of their efforts and core infrastructure were focused on the city centres, because that was where everyone worked.

Then came Covid-19, and everyone migrated to the suburbs.

Yes, their online support has been a disgrace, but there are definite signs that they are also trying to turn that around.

Something is happening today with Rain , my speed in Durbanville tonight is almost 0 ! Noticed connectivity problems in Cape Town this PM too ! I'm on the 4g 24/7 deal at R479 with 10mbps limit , but this is ridiculous ! Screenshot_20201015-220401_Speedtest.jpg
