Hey guys

I saw a couple of posts of people saying here they use the RAIN off peak during the day and another sim for when that is not active, so I tried the same solution at home, unfortunately the RAIN sim speeds are on a GOOD day 500 kbps and most of the time speed test does not even load, what kind of speeds were you guys getting to actually be using it, is it just my area that is useless for Rain, or what is the problem?

I'm getting up to 3.5MBps or roughly 25-30Mbps.

anything and everything, you kind of take your chances with RAIN

Ive gotten huge speeds, and cr@p speeds.
its all dependent on a million things, time of day, tower load, ect ect...

Started great last year with 40 Mbps down and 15 Mbps up. About 6 months ago it started slowing and by about 2 months ago it was around 1 Mbps down. Thats when I bailed and doubled my Telkom LTE for about the same price as have two networks.

Mine is the same pathetic speeds and their support will only tell you to reset your router and move it around. After that you will be told that the towers in your area are congested. As if that is your fault.

Good enough for me to stream Netflix in HD and browse these forums at the same time.

Just get the SIM without enabling the R250 uncapped and test it first.

30-40mbps, but that can change quickly.

I've discovered that local towers change all the time (signal strength and speed) and sometimes I just re-position the external antenna and speed is restored. Bit of a pain climbing up the ladder, but you do what you have to.

I generally get 20mbps at home and work. Test it out where you need to and then decide

The best I have gotten over about a week is 3 mbps, the rest of the time it takes about 30 minutes to do a speed test because the web page loads forever, sometimes google takes so long to load its easier to just not use it at all.

So I guess that's a no go for RAIN

Have you tried moving your router/antenna around a bit?

Give it a try moving your router around. Maybe the tower is the problem and it picking up another tower helps a bit.

My connection dies daily at 9:00AM in the morning. It's like people get to the office and download all their mails.

I have an external antenna that goes up to the roof, signal shows full 4G+ on the management page, its not a signal problem
