Rain Online RICA

Cancelled new package after going through the rica gauntlet, it's hell, wish there was an easier way, 2 sims and R500 later, no luck. Hope we get our money back.

First time, was logged in with wrong account, submitted wrong documents, okay, back off, get a new Rain sim, create new account, then, payment declined, card is married to first account, was advised it will take two days to get THAT sorted. Peaced out, way too much admin just to get internet.

I have been having the same problem with my new Rain sim card. It is stucked on Rica. When I click on the link in the SMS, it says check back after 1 hour but after over 8 hours, it's still the same. I called the customer care number but the guy that picked was not helpful at all. Why is the service of Rain so bad?

Hi please assist me I've been trying to Rica, uploading my proof of residence I'm stuck there and it's been 3 days now, I tried calling the support centre but no one answered and I've already paid half of the amount that was required please help..

I am stucked with rica process on validation of proof of life and address validation on my Rain sim.
 
I have a problem with my rain sim ....I'm having a problem with Rica it's been 3 days now and it still says queued for rica
 
My rain sim card has been queued for rica since yesterday, can someone please help
 
So I was going to get a Rain card at Clicks and phoned Rain for advice.
The sales person said no buy from them it will be faster. :unsure: I asked how so.
She said they will do everything and I will have it rica'ed and sent to me within 5 days. If I bought from clicks 14 days!!!!!

I told her Clicks was 2km down the road, why cant I just go and get it and rica online?
Then she said the payment and docs would take time to process that way. I asked how different it was, I mean I send them the docs and pay and they open the account. I then got some mumbo jumbo about home affairs needing to validate the id. I asked how that is miraculously different from if I ordered from them or got the card at clicks

*crickets*

Why are people making it so difficult in this modern day, online payments and accounts.
Seconds thoughts, forget it.
 
That sounds par for course with rain - they are lairs.

Such a pity because I still remember how stoked and happy I was when I got my 3 rain SIMs back in the day. It worked so well - I loved it. The freedom! Paying R80~R150 per month was so much better than buying stupid bundles that expire.

Then they ruined it all by throwing away pay as you use.

Last month when I had to cancel my one uncapped SIM and they called me to ask what they can do to stop me from cancelling, I said simply bring back pay as you use at R50 per GB. Needless to say, they chose to go ahead with the cancellation.
