Rain R250 uncapped offer ending 30th June

well for me i use a lot of data. i want this 250 deal to continue.

Ja no what im saying is us existing customers still have the 250 uncapped option, I mean if they charge another 250 for an extra 3 gigs every night then I'm fine with it

I don't think that is the only issue, user numbers is a good thing (Hopefully they start to grow their network into areas where there isn't signal yet), but users who download well over 1TB a month is the thing breaking the horses back in this instance. Maybe they are ending it because they know what their users want/need.

if thats true, why end the deal?
why not just introduce a FUP of 1TB and not deter anybody else from taking out a Sim card?

makes no sense, unless they've got so many Sim cards out there now, they had to do something,

I'm getting 40Mbs+ download speeds and my usage varies between 150GB and 300GB per month.

downloading is not an issue. Eventually you run out of stuff to download. I downloaded 1.7tb my first month but now i can barely go over 300gb every month. Games do not release daily. Good games actually and streaming does not consume much data.

Exactly I struggle to get it when people download terabytes each month. Hell even 200-300GB. It's not like I ran out of things to download, I could download the Internet but that's old fashioned, although I do download your odd movie (TPB).

Netflix streams are quite heavy if you have the bandwidth.

That still wouldn't make much sense during peak hour. But a bundle could work.

Yip was 40 Mbps until a month ago, now 2 Mbps. Highly suspicious.

I'm still convinced they have implemented some form of FUP and soft cap. I have tested the speeds over multiple days in the odd hours of the mornings and my speeds have been relatively the same. 10 - 60 kbps. If there is anyone else in Cape town region still getting good speeds I will drive my router there and test it myself. Only then will I be convinced we are not being crooked. I'm not asking for much RAIN, just enough to get me by.

This is what I'm getting right now while also at the same time downloading a Playstation game, normally I get close to 20mb. I'm in Eerste River, Bluedowns near Kuilsriver.
Been smooth sailing since I bought my sim, other than the once or twice a month I had to reboot my router for it to receive signal.

You work at the Casino? Why would you need wifi signal there ? Or do you download while gambling ?
