Rain starts feeling like Telkom, advertising cheap deals with high data caps (unlimited) but then proceed to throttle (insert curse words here) the network.

Speeds was decent (30mbps up and down, sometimes peaking at 70mbps with 25 ping)

I present you with the speeds over the last few days:
(NOTE: the 16 and 18mbps was a test in mosselbay, and not in glentana)
759830

I really dont want to continue paying R250 for unusable uncapped. Id rather spend more money on a decent provider.

I am frustrated Rain.

Note, my signal is OK-ish with -70dBm to -90dBm throughout the house, and other providers (MTN, Vodacom seems to have some super powers in the area - with speeds upward of 60mbps)

Of course, that is the reason! The technical model RAIN uses includes some really ridiculous oversubscriptions. Their design is incapable of handling overload conditions.

Yup, I'm here(Grootbrak) on holiday too and RAIN is unusable at the moment.

Super frustrating because last year it worked great.

Now there is basically no throughput. Super frustrating.
