So wats the speed like during the unlimited data period?

19 hours of unlimited data every day (11pm - 6pm the next day)
Is it worth buying?
Personally I think it is, but you get what you pay for, their speeds are terrible, the only time I am not "throttled" is between 23h00 and 05h00. my average speeds during the uncapped period, after 05h00, is 2mps and from 18h00 to 23h00 is horrific. You can also expect down time. Some days they are on and off all day but again, you get what you pay for so if you go for it do not expect the best. Their customer service is also absolutely rubbish. I have 2 sims and where ever I am with my 2nd sim I get the same so its not just the area i live in. The weird thing is is that 5 months ago it was never like this. Personally I think they are wanting customers to cancel the uncapped contracts, in any case come June 2020 they will no longer be available. They have this new 5g network, but and a big but, R1000 per month uncapped and the 5G router, a ridiculous R4000 and its only in certain areas

I can't get more than 60 Kb/s combined on torrent downloads. Ridiculous.
Yet I can download files at +/- 25 Mb/s and watch youtube at 1080 without any stutter.
I'm on Rain Mobile and this is during the uncapped 19 hours.

A VPN should solve that problem.

it was only a matter time that Rain would heavily shape torrents. Wouldn't blame it on abuse but some people have been clocking a combined usage of 500GB monthly, I can bet most of that is covered by torrents. I hear torrents download at full speed after 11pm.

I think something is definitely wrong with the torrent speeds. At around 1:00 am I tested a few torrents with a decent amount of seeders but it still struggled to get to 1MB/s. It's now actually faster for me to download individual files through a download manager becoz I can get 4MB/s average and best at around 6MB/s. But it is rather boring when you have a lot of files to download
