All I read was, "I am rock hard from all the stealing we are going to do with tenders"

Nah, you're being a bit too ambitious with that.

I read that article and all I saw was "We'll rehash the same shyte again with different words so everyone thinks we're doing something" and then they'll all go and have a dop and do fsckall like always.

How about not looting the funds firstly.

Don't come here with that decolonized mindset. Where there is meat a cadre must eat... or in this case a cadre in need gets a tender indeed.

I don't trust cvnt Cyril with fixing this.
While he does irritate me, i think we also have to remember its a captured Govt and state of note - Cyril is also bound by that. He can stand-up there an waffle all he wants, he's also going to have to stand in line with the mafia group running and profiting from Govt....

Step 1 - Half of it is MP's family members.

Step 2 - Private sector brings governance and compliance, which makes stealing much much harder.

Step 1 - Create a problem (load shedding)
Step 2 - Tell your voters only you can solve said problem
Step 3 - Gain job security forever

The 100 private power plants were happening already due to eskom unreliability and green initiatives it wont make any difference for the rest of us. The rest is just the usual waffle and really not much actual improvements on the cards from what I can see.

Funny, but i feel sorry for anyone who thinks Cyril calls all the shots. In fact, I feel sorry for anyone who thinks ANY president calls all the shots.

He's more of a glorified spokesperson.
What are the options?

I don't think the government quite understands the word "emergency".
Clearly not.
end of this year
allow the faster approval and development of power plants
construction will soon begin
imported this year
So basically you can expect load shedding for a very long time to come still.

The time to complete regulatory processes for new plants has been reduced
i.e. let's cut a few corners

Efforts to finish incomplete plants and maintenance of other major units are being made.
Implies and attempt will be made but no promises.

As usual, all smoke an mirrors.

Allow the City of Cape Town to source their own power!

Step 1 is a major sticking point for a political party that has its nuts in a vice by the unions.
Unfortunately due to the amount of corrupt people overtaking the decent people; there is no form of hope to resolve this fully.

People will always chase those millions and will seek any chance they get to provide for their household and never stop taking.

The City of Cape Town should allow me to source my own power! They are welcome to make a deal with me to benefit from my roof, but alas, they chose to throw red tape, solar tariffs, and a grid connection levy at me, and banned me from going off-grid. The DA is part of this problem, restricting my right to energy and wasting my tax money to throw at IPPs that will never be the solution for me.
