Funny, but i feel sorry for anyone who thinks Cyril calls all the shots. In fact, I feel sorry for anyone who thinks ANY president calls all the shots.
He's more of a glorified spokesperson.
The same thing that will happen with plan 51What happened to the previous 50 plans?
I don't think the government quite understands the word "emergency".
Clearly not.
So basically you can expect load shedding for a very long time to come still.
i.e. let's cut a few corners
Implies and attempt will be made but no promises.
As usual, all smoke an mirrors.
Allow the City of Cape Town to source their own power!
Hence me asking for deregulation of electricity generation. The City of Cape Town should allow me to source my own power! They are welcome to make a deal with me to benefit from my roof, but alas, they chose to throw red tape, solar tariffs, and a grid connection levy at me, and banned me from going off-grid. The DA is part of this problem, restricting my right to energy and wasting my tax money to throw at IPPs that will never be the solution for me.
Only Eskom is allowed to sell to you is the way I understand it.
- The first of more than 100 privately owned power plants being developed will connect to the grid by the end of this year. In total, the planned projects could produce 9,000 megawatts, much of it for the companies’ own use.
Wait, what? Thought only Eskom could own/develop power plants unless this is talking about renewables.
If these cunts were serious, Gweezy Mantooshy would have been fired already. If these c*nts are serious about alleviating the burden on Eskom, why don't they immediately release legislation that ensures ALL solar generation equipment, and sundries, are zero rated AND introduce a solar tax benefit for those that have/want solar installed but can't feed back into the grid?
We all know the answer to this conundrum - they are too greedy, ignorant and stupid to come up with real solutions that impact their vote-buying schemes!
and now the grid is maxed out over there and they can't add any more. Thanks Gweezy.I think its renewable. If you go up the west coast there are wind and solar farms over every hill.
Whenever you see the word "emergency" you know the money is going to flow. All I read was, "I am rock hard from all the stealing we are going to do with tenders"
The same thing that will happen with area 51
FTFYWhile he does irritate me, i think we also have to remember its a captured Govt and state of note - Cyril is also a criminal and bound by that. He can stand-up there an waffle all he wants, he's also going to have to stand in line with the mafia group running and profiting from Govt....
Sasol has it's own power plants?

step 4 - blows up in your face when you don't solve the problem.Step 1 - Create a problem (load shedding)
Step 2 - Tell your voters only you can solve said problem
Step 3 - Gain job security forever
Thanks, I appreciate it! But this problem has been known for more than a decade, if the DA was competent, the Cape would have been much better off already in terms of LS. They also let this crisis hit and only now looking at what went wrong, and I doubt they will ever let go of centralized energy governance, they need to skim this solar money.Hence me asking for deregulation of electricity generation.
Sure, but nothing to write home about. Maybe 150MW afaik.Sasol has it's own power plants?
Politicians are dumb shits. Thanks, I appreciate it! But this problem has been known for more than a decade, if the DA was competent, the Cape would have been much better off already in terms of LS. That's still better then most IPPsSure, but nothing to write home about. Maybe 150MW afaik.
