Malls going to be packed now. Watch those number rise even more. I am sure there was a better way but let's just blanket close all the public areas that are outside so that people will now go to indoor places...
afaik - Garden Route District beaches are closed. Witsands to Stilbay, mossel bay, wilderness, Plett...
Apparently all the mayor's meeting this morning to discuss.
So much for discussions held or serious backlash from community.

Wait, so the parks are closed again in Gauteng? So that everyone can exercise in the same street then?
Why is the limit for outdoor gathering still higher than indoors, but I can't go to the park?

Absolute BS.

I do not trust the figures at all. So my immediate family member had a scheduled biopsy for possible cancer detection. Hospital pre admission covid test result was positive. Member had no covid symptoms at all. So the biopsy had to be postponed and flight tickets cancelled. We insisted on a re test for covid. Received the results yesterday, negative.

This BS test and BS results have some serious consequences to people with real medical issues.

Absolute BS.

No they are not.

Also, nice loophole for the beaches....

the closure of beaches and restrictions on times of operation do not
apply to fishermen for fishing purposes, who are in possession of a
permit or exemption granted in terms of the Marine Living Resources
Act, 1998 (Act No. 18 of 199

Time to get fishing licenses for my family. What's the minimum age? Can a 3 year old kid get a license?

I am booked to tour and do a tasting at a Whisky Distillery on Friday though. Wine farms are allowed to still have tastings and sell wine. But, what about Distilleries :cautious:

The article says they are though?

Beaches and public parks will be closed from 16 December to 3 January in areas of high infection.

Does Gauteng count as areas of high infection? I assumed so seeing as they are saying we are partly leading the second wave...

No. Areas of high infection are the eastern cape, basically.
