They can't even pay every qualifying person a R350 grant at present. Cyril is talking kak. He knows it. I know it. You know it. Everyone knows it.

But the voters believe it... and they will keep voting ANC in the hopes for R350

But, what is left? The fiscus does not even have enough money to buy diesel for Eskom. Where are they going to get this money from?

True, but the caveat is that you have to pay that R350 to all the voters. If you skip one, two, three or six months of payments, like they currently do, that voter will definitely take the money when it comes, but it will no longer be voting for you.

Should make a basic streetwise 2 grant. Everyone get a kfc voucher once a month.

There is not even enough money in the fiscus to afford a R30 meal for the poor every month. This is how the ANC worked this country into the ground.

Tax payers. Expect some hefty increases in the near future.

I'm convinced the ministers are letting their grandkids make the decisions.

The ANC knows no taxpayer will vote for them. They also know they are loosing support. So hiking taxes to pay for the Basic Income Grant is no problem, they will actually gain votes.

Zuma did the same with the free university. He gained votes otherwise he wouldve lost more.

VOTE BUYING 101

"Speaking during his State of the Nation Address on Thursday (9 February), the president noted that 60% of the national budget is spent on social wages"

And then continue to decrease the tax base and increase the number of leeches. Do we need to do some drawings in crayon to spell out the obvious inevitability?

Meaning anything which isn't regarded as essential will be taxed to high hell.
