It makes people forget that we are in a pandemic and forget to stay safe and keep others safe. Simple really.

Doesn't mean having 1 whiskey makes you guilty of that, but unfortunately, we have people who can't control themselves..."adults" acting like children.
SO the majority responsible drinkers gets punished for the minority who fcks up.

@Method, Why are you so adamant over this Covid-19 issue? We have more people testing positive for HIV than for Covid-19. You're going on about a vaccine for a virus that more than 99% of people, factually, survive.

Help me understand?

I can almost guarantee come boxing and new years this will not be enforced.

  • The consumption of alcohol should be banned in public areas like beaches and parks.
  • Public gatherings should be limited to 100 people indoors and 250 people outdoors.

Micromanagement is murder.
We have people who want rules imposed to curb the behaviour of a fringe within a fringe group. They are similar to people who never vote for the EFF/DA/ANC/etc bitching about how the EFF/DA/ANC/etc have lost their vote because of something said political party did, as if their position has relevance.

I can guarantee you that those people who drink like that are still going to get their hands on booze and drink like that anyway. The limitations don't stop them and mean nothing to them anyway.

Yup, it's the same as smokers. Anyone else getting tired of them constantly throwing in GBV as well?

People are out there pretending there's no pandemic...

We almost have a vaccine, just ****ing hold on for a little longer and stop being a pussy. STAY HOME GODDAMMIT!
Are you in the at-risk cohort?

Yes: Stay at home and protect yourself.
No: get the **** on with your life and maybe stay away from the at risk cohort.

Why the **** does it have to all be so complicated?

Yes? Where did I say people who work? I'm talking about the dumb morons who are going about their lives as if nothing is wrong. Those in malls, those having gatherings in large groups, those who can't wear a bloody mask properly.

So the people spending money and keeping businesses up and running?

I will only start worrying when people start dying on the streets.

We need to go back to something similar to stage 5.

Alcohol ban.
Curfew from 9pm.
Special permits for those who need to work.
No interprovincial travel.
I disagree , it would be signing a death certificate for coastal towns who survive off Dec tourists,

The Booze ban, and Curfew, i can get behind, but the Interprovincial travel makes no sense, people just get "permits" and move around anyway

Yes, there is this crap going on, but it areas such as MP can stick to the "rules" and show lower numbers, so can other areas

I got tired of it from day 1, especially when they actually don't understand what GBV really is.

For them GBV is violence against women.

Cause the world has done this arse about face, in the old days. The sick get quarantined, the ones who are at risk get isolated or told to work from home. In 2020 you can't discriminate so everyone must hide, though 99.6% of people won't even know of this virus if the media hadn't gone crazy.

I fall into a risk category, but i also accept that my life needs to carry on. There's more chance of a taxi skipping a red light, and wiping me out in an accident than getting covid.
