Ramaphosa needs to take action on Eskom

An unemployment rate of 29%, an economy stuck in the longest downward cycle since World War II, chronic electricity shortages and soft business confidence -- after 20 months running South Africa, patience is wearing thin with Cyril Ramaphosa’s languid pace of reforms.

There have been no shortages of policy papers, conferences and speeches outlining how to unlock economic growth, but the deeply divided ruling African National Congress and its labor union and communist allies have struggled to agree on a way forward.

The condom tester was bad news from day one. I saw him right away for what he is. The international markets needed 5-6 months to see thru Ramaphosa. The ANC supporters in this forum still support the idiot. #IntelligenceFail

Eskom will not be saved, under any political party, whatsoever. It will eventually come crashing down under the weight of its massive debts, required running costs/capital and tens of millions entitled people who refuse to pay for it due to political promises made to them and poverty. Everyone employed at Eskom will eventually end up unemployed. What people should have started doing, 15 years ago, was to start looking at alternatives to ensure that they will at least be in a position to generate their own limited electricity the day Eskom shuts down. That is the way forward. Not saving Eskom anymore.

He aint going to make the hard decisions to rectify any failing state businesses. Talk is easier than action.

This is the same as saying the ANC needs to take action on Eskom.
THIS event will also burn the whole of the motherfing COUNTRY to the ground !
Some people are just beyond ANY understanding ...

So you are happier with a long prolonged ago using death of Eskom instead of a quick death, which will allow a fast start on rebuilding - nice

There is no faster start to rebuilding if eskom collapses... The country will spiral and chances are it will never recover... At least not in a few generations. Think the worst of Africa and you can imagine what SA will be like for at least 20 or 30 years...

I usually disagree with MW or at least poke fun at his posts but in this regard he is 100% right...
