Amazing how they "ANC" think, they are the only one's that can "Fix" everything they broke.
they can fix it, by taking everybody with an ANC membership card to Mars, and leaving Earth ,
that would "fix" what they caused.

Actually he is pretty spot on, but thats due to bad weather and storms, not corruption.

One part of US recently had 500k homes without power for about 2 weeks.

America has fake money that they can print whenever they feel their left ball itch. We are different. Worlds apart.

Ramapromises is just another Zuma, that can count..

The irony is people have higher expectations from him, making this kind of talk just extra pathetic.

Have some pride man, other countries are laughing at ANC stupidity & inability to get anywhere except steal from WMC.

Do the right thing comrades. Vote ANC. We did not struggle all these years to go back to Apartheid.

It's not only that we have electricity problems, but the absence of clear concrete steps to rectify the situation. There does not appear to be a solution in sight, and things are getting worse. Few countries are sitting with that hopeless situation.

love the redirection this cretin is trying,

just so you know CR, South Africa had back in the 80's/90's one of the most well developed power grids in Africa, (including the only nuclear plant in Africa)
in the time you creatures have been in power all you have done is ignore it, to this stage, let it degenerate to a shadow of its former self and now we sit with load shedding.

and the blame is squarely with you ANC morons, no getting past that little fact.

so redirect and deny and dance circles and hand out Cash to the idiots who vote for you,
you are going down the road of ZANU PF and all the other "successes" in Africa.
Dont forget that we were one of the cheapest producers, providing electricity to large parts in Africa too.

Sadly that is their biggest lie tactic to date, and it works - use the word apartheid and it doesn't matter how fvcked everything else is, the impoverished, uneducated voters firmly believe this.

His Job is as easy as a pastors / priests job. Put the fear of an baseless notion into their heads and they quiver at the thought of it, and follow blindly - Job done.

He is not spot on at all. Its a bald faced fscking lie and its bullshit.

To compare natural events and technical issues with distribution to rampant corruption and incompetence is just horseshyte.

Agreed. It's a flat-out lie.

The US has had power disruptions for sure, but it's due to freak natural disasters or extreme weather they hadn't experienced before. They were freak once off occurrences.

Loadshedding is a 20-something year long ongoing problem involving corruption, incompetence and an unwillingness/incapability to plan for the long term. There is also no current plan to address loadshedding that I've seen, not so in the US.

How to destroy a successful SoE :

[_] Unions allow the employment of more workers, but absolutely no retrenchments
[_] Dodgy deals? We ain't got any dodgy deals, just don't dig too deep
[_] BEE member? Sure, come help yourself, there's plenty and to spare
[_] Want to truck in coal instead of us using conveyor belts or trains? Sure!
[_] Not delivering qualitay workmanship? No problem, we'll just gloss it over, and blame somebody else
[_] Debt? What debt? We'll just raise our prices to settle it quicker!
[_] White ous? No work for you. Go away. We do not need your skills or expertise.
[_] Equipment falling apart? Push it harder!
[_] Yes Mr Political Guy? You want us to keep the lights on? Sure! No problem!
[_] Hear that sound? OTG's spinning up and sipping lots of diesel. Lovely sound, that. I just love it.
[_] Found a speshul deal on R200 000.00 mops? Buy a dozen!

Unfortunately the hoi polloi will lap up all these excuses and believe the lies.

This is what I call a kak verskoning,

“As I was addressing the crowds here, we are not the only country – even the mighty United States of America, their most affluent state of California, has gone through years of problems of energy generation.”

WE ARE NOT THE US OF A!

Then he goes on about a grand solution... ugh, rather call it a masterplan like they call everything else, but hey, I have to take a dig at this one,

“We have come up with a grand solution which is in the process of being implemented. We now need to restructure Eskom to allow (independent) power generators to also generate power. It is a weakness to have one company having an absolute monopoly.”

SOEs!!!
